The Paris Chapter: 15 - 21 April
Cosmic dance, spring afterwork drinks, art and yoga, boss and brunch, rising star classical concerts, a creative play workshop, impro festival, language exchange...
Scouting, seeking, making space. Wandering the Haut Marais yesterday evening, the world shifted from 2D to 3: taut shoulders softening, screen-time symptoms chased away by a full sensorial experience of spring.
A concert - less a symphony, and more competing soloists - of chortling blackbirds, jasmine perfuming the park benches, a tawny duck grooming itself by the pond. Fresh bubs in peaked bonnets, gurgling over shoulders. Sunset streaking the window panes gold, then amber, weighty pigeons causing cascades of weary blossoms, thick rivulets of petal rain.
I’ve felt a lot like a tired child the past week, “Are we there yet?” on repeat, desperate to play outside (without a recurring cold for my troubles). Last night was the turning of a corner, relief upon recognising the home stretch. Picnics soon, my friends, picnics soon!
