The Paris Chapter had its first birthday recently…

When I saw the milestone approaching, my thinking was to perhaps throw a party: gather in a little wine bar, banter, philosophize, create an opportunity for all of you to connect.

The party may occur (and you’ll be the first to know), but I realised that what I’d really like, actually, is a nap.

In the past year, I’ve scoured thousands of event listings, scouted all across the city, attempted seeing an expo a week (I tapped out after six months), attended countless functions, hosted mindful conversations and dinners for strangers and deep connection moments, and had the pleasure of meeting many of you in the process.

It’s time to take un pétit pause, to give the swirl of fairy dust - the insights, the opportunities, the conversations, the ideas - a chance to settle, to determine the best course for the year ahead.

See you in a couple of weeks,
Jenni

In this edition:

  1. BE - a question or quote to help you live deeper

  2. DO - three Paris event recommendations for the week ahead

    Additionally, for premium subscribers

BE

“To be a Parisian is not about being born in Paris, it is about being reborn there.”
~ Sacha Guitry, filmmaker and creator of Ceux de chez nous: video portraits - circa 1915 - of artists such as Monet, Degas, Renoir and Bernhardt at work.

6€ gets you access to Paris’s most interesting events, advance notice of sure-to-sell-out ones, and a dedicated email service for all your Paris questions.
